Today after a long flight we arivved at singpore at 6am but it was midnight in Italy so we jumped streight into bed and slept for five hours then we got up up and went for something to eat and to the old Raffles hotel, we had a drink at the old long bar where they have a famous drink called a singpore sling. Then we went home and had some curry amd then went to bed. Next day we went to the bird park and looked at some parrots, flamingos and toucans, we rode round on a little train and saw the whole park, the birds were amazing. But the very best bit was called birdz of play which is an amazingly fun water park for kids, it has a big water bucket that tips on your head. Venice

Today we arivved at the wonderfull city on water Venice. The train station stops right on the canal and there are no roads so first we took a water bus to our apartment. We are staying really close to st marks one of the most famous places in all Venice and at night we met up with mums cousin aunty Fizzy who lives in Venice. Next day we had a hot chocolate tha was like drinking melted chocolate it was so thick and then qe visted the naval museum where I kept playing around with the controls of an Italian boat, there were lots of models of ships that really intereted Joe. After that we went to the Doge's palace who was the old ruler of the republic of Venice, it had an amazing gold staircase and lots of government chambers,  the prisons we visited in there were almost underwater and to get to them we crossed the Bridge of Sighs,  after that we had drinks with aunty fizzy at a local bar right on the canal.

The next day was the best ever, we went on a Gondola in the morning after Mum and Dad had a coffee at a cafe and when we walked through saint Mark's square this morning  it was flooded with water. The Gondola took us round the canals and we had to go on our side to get under one bridge as thewater was so high, the gondolier was very good at this. The boat ride was captivating and inspired me to like boats more. After the gondola ride we had the best gelati from a place called groms then went across the lagoon to have lunch with aunty fizzy Here are some photos:

Verona

Today we came to Verona on the train and visited the 2000 year old pink marble colosseum, built by the Romans in 1AD, and a very old castle with a museum inside it. My favorite was definitely the colosseum  because they still have concerts there even though it is so old, the castle was full of paintings and old weapons and we climbed up to the battlements which were very high. We also ate lots of gelati and went on a mini train ride around the city sights which was heaps of fun. We had a drink at a really friendly bar where we got great snacks an then went to a really good pizza place for dinner where the management was quite unfriendly but I still rate there pizzas 7.5/10 tomorrow we are going to Venice by train. Here are some photos:

Bellagio

Tonight we stayed at  hotel centrale in the town of Bellagio on Lake Como, the boat trip to get therecwas amazing to get there as we stopped all through the lark before arriving.  The hotel was really nice and comfortable and had a great balcony with grape vines where we could read our books. We walked round the very old town which is perched on the steep sides of Lake Como and went to a lakeside bar where we fed ducks and the lake fish with bread. Next morning we had a wonderful Buffet breakfast, rolls and croissants and yummy cake before heading off to the gardens of the Villa Melzi, these are very beautiful and famous and run alongside Como, there was a chapel with the tomb of the man who created them. For lunch we went to a nice seaside cafe / restaurant where I had spaghetti  bolognaise and Dad had fish from the lake. After that we went and fed the ducks again and then we had dinner. Today we had a big travel day. From Saint aignan we drove and drove and drove and then yep we drove and drove some more and more than five hours later we arived at Lyon airport. There we returned the hire car and took a shuttle bus to the airport and then had to wait for another hour before even checking in, after all this we had a very short 40 miunte flight into Italy where we stayed in a town called Como on the lakes in a hotel which was once an old convent, in the morning we are going to Bellagio by boat. Here are some photos of cakes I brought myself from the Boulangerie for our last night in Saint Aignan:

Zoo & market

Today we went to the market at Saint Aignan which was not that far as it was set up literally out the front of our house!. I put our walkie talkies to good use (see hamleys post) and went out to be a price scout, checking the cost of the things we needed. After that we went to the Beauval zoo, again just down the road, where we looked at lots of diffrent animals, we saw pandas, macaws,  kangroos, Koalas and rhinos. When we got home we went for a look at the church in Saint Aignan which is very old and historic and has wall paintings that are over 700 years old, amazing! I also started reading my new horrible histories book as I have finished the Hunger Games series. Here are some photos:
