For the last 3 nights we have been staying in Staithes were my dad's family came from. We did lots of things that he used to do when he was a boy, such as going to the pub, fishing for little crabs which are called Doggers in Staithes and we went to Pacittos In Redcar where Grannie comes from which is an ice creamery and
had the best ice creams ever. We also saw the oldest lifeboat in the world, built in 1802. Then we had lunch with dad's cousin Margret and she gave us 30 pounds each! So here's what I bought: the second and third hunger games, some lollies and a Dr.Who build-your-own sonic screwdriver set. We also had the best fish and chips in the world at Whitby and went to Whitby abby an old monastry. We saw the old coble boats that are the local fishing boats and in the heritage centre there were lots of pictures of my great-great Uncle Bill Harrison and his Staithes fishing coble Coronation Queen, we have some pictures of them at home. I am going to miss Staithes. Here are some photos:
